I have had two sets of Woodie photos on my desktop for a while now. One is the aforementioned "What the Heck is That?" series, featuring various woodpecker food tidbits; the other is this series of grooming shots, culminating in a fashionable (?) mullet-type 'do atop a perky face. As I'm feeling so woodpecker-bereft and sentimental this week, I thought it a good time for this showcase.
I ask you, who could not love this face?
