I found this wolf spider mother in the bathtub along with several dozen tiny baby spiders. I took 25 or 30 of them out of the tub that day, and kept finding more over the next several days. Some were perhaps repeat offenders who got back into the tub after having been rescued. I thought that the mother spider was carrying the eggs on her back, but now I've read up and have learned that those are her young, who climb up after they are hatched. Crazy!
