Remember When It Snowed Back in February? Part IV: Animal Tracks

Skunk (I think)

On the left are the skunk tracks; I don't know what the other, longer tracks on the right are. I thought perhaps rabbit, but it's something walking, not hopping. Maybe fox?

I never posted these then . . . it's time now.

And It's STILL Snowing

I was trying, for the most part unsuccesfully, to capture the fatness of the snowflakes.

Snow Day!

I took these photos about 20 minutes ago; the patio is completely covered now.

Snowy England: February 2009, Part III

So I got back Wednesday evening from 12 days in England. It was meant to be 10, but family troubles delayed the trip back, which turned out to be rather fortuitous weatherwise; Sunday, the day I'd originally planned to head to London from the country, was the day it began to snow. This is the most snow England has seen since 18 years ago! It was absolutely gorgeous and I got out in it every chance I got. I hear it is still on the ground as of today, because temperatures have not risen above freezing. The electricity has gone out twice in my aunt's village, but happily came back on quickly enough. This is the view from her morning room...much different from the last time I was there!

The river

My aunt and I like to think that this is our father blackbird from last July who nested in the hydrangea on the wall
