Driving Home from the Tractor Supply: Part VII

While photographing the flag & roadrunner, I turned around, and there they were, watching me. I love them. I wanted to take them home with me. But I didn't.

Very adorably scratching its little itchy head on the fence

I still don't know what they are, but I am enjoying finding out:

What is the difference between a Mule and a Hinny?

A mule is also known as a half ass.

Mule
Cross between a Jack (male donkey) and a Mare (female horse)
Hinny
Cross between a Stallion (male horse) and a Jenny (female donkey)

Both the Mule and Hinny are sterile (unable to reproduce)

I'd forgotten about hinnies; I thought they were all mules.

I don't know which they are, either. I was just thinking about dropping a note in the mailbox where they live to see if a person could let us know.

By the way, Miz Jen, you really need to come out and drive to the Tractor Supply with me. You will not believe how much fun John Deere merchandise is available. T-shirts! Tiny toy tractors! To-go mugs! It's a John Deere paradise.
