The Sad Truth of How Some People Just Don't Believe You When You Are Telling the Truth About Something Like, Oh, Oak Galls, For Example

This wasp is on an oak gall.

Here is the gall from further away. I love how it looks like a peach, and how that makes the wasp look like a mutant giant wasp, such as one might find in a 1950s B horror movie: Attack of the Mutant Giant Wasps from Outer Space!

Here is the wasp from closer up. I love its little face.


There are wasps, and there are galls. I do need a bit more information, as the only pictures I've found of the gall wasps are not this type of wasp—but she was on this gall for an hour, and it sure looked to me as though she was feeding the young within (hence the "she"), unless—gasp!—perhaps she was eating the young within! I will continue the research.
